Provides accurate cash handling and positive client relations while performing a variety of service functions, including cashing checks, processing savings, checking, and loan transactions

Represents the bank and oneself in a positive, courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service in response to requests, inquiries, or problems concerning service associate services provided by the bank.
Builds and maintains relationships with clients. Provides a superior level of service by identifying clients'' needs, and recognizing and acting upon opportunities to refer and sell services and/or products provided by the bank.
Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via an online service associate terminal.
Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verification of signatures and client balances.Inspects all checks, bonds, cashiers checks, savings withdrawals, and so forth to determine their negotiability.
Maintains adequate cash and coin supply in drawer, while staying within maximum limits. Keeps currency and coin in a neat and orderly arrangement.
Balances drawer and coin vault daily.
Prepares change orders for clients, receives payments for loans and distributes to proper channels, and sells cashiers checks and travelers checks.
Complies with all relevant regulatory requirements. Completes and records accurate documentation on large transactions.
May be asked to cross-train and support Personal Banking function on occcasion.
Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent required.
Qualification Requirements:
Excellent client service skills, including interpersonal and communication skills with good product knowledge.
Skills, ability, and knowledge to proactively and effectively participate in the bank''s sales program, meeting or exceeding expectations and/or goals of the sales and referral activities established for this position.
Proficient knowledge of the bank products and services.
Proven ability to count and handle money accurately, meeting or exceeding established balancing goals of this position.
Basic computer skills.
Experience Requirements:
Six months previous cash handling experience required.
Previous teller experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
May require long periods of standing or sitting.
Ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing over 25 pounds.
May require long periods of typing and repetitive motion.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
