Job Overview:
The Account Manager is primarily accountable for the sales and account management for a major account within a geographical area.They are responsible for maintaining and improving current sales relationship and opportunities.This position must demonstrate proficiency in sales and full knowledge of Nalco Champions product and its application.
The AM is responsible for managing sales and service activities including but not limited to; account management, customer retention, customer service, generating of new business, RFP supervision, and driving sales closures within his/her area. While performing these activities, this position will also be responsible for driving a culture of Safety, Account Management, Technical Capability and Career Development within the assigned area and workforce he/she will manage.
Territory/Location Information:This position is based in Stillwater, OK
Main Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for the sales and account management of Medium to large accounts
Maintains current sales level and increasing sales volumes and profit margins in the future
Initiates and oversees projects requested by the customer with support from technical research group
Develops and maintains reports for the customer on Nalco Champion research and technical services projects
Troubleshoots problems related to the customers orders, shipping or product quality
Assists customer personnel in the field to determine solutions to problems associated with current products sold
Indirectly manages daily activities of internal and external personal to align customer strategy
Forecasts and monitors annual budget for sales, expenses and profitability
Reinforce a highly safety conscious culture through the leadership of daily safety activities. Lead and/or participate in all safety reporting requirements such as tailgate meetings, JSAs, close calls, etc. and partner with customers, operators, and other organizations located on site to ensure a safe working environment.
Partners with current customers on existing business and future opportunities for additional products and/or services within engineering and technical support to ensure that proper resources are able to keep up with customer expectations of support.
Provides input and support on pricing strategies, service models, efficiencies, other potential revenue streams, product profitability, defending existing business, and prospecting.
Responsible for the delivery of all reports and correspondence required by customer contracts and internal reporting responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree (Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Business)
4+ years of Chemical Sales experience or related industry with transferable skills in people management, sales, and general business acumen.

Proficient in MS Office.
Great presentation skills.
Great interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills (Both verbal and written).
Adaptability.
Good time management skills.
Good negotiating and problem resolution abilities.
Technically competent with advanced skills for troubleshooting production problems.
Technical Skills (Product Knowledge, Product Application, Testing Techniques, Production Systems, Down-hole Equipment).
Solid knowledge of monitoring delivery equipment and testing.
General production and transportation systems knowledge.
