ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Investigates each assigned claim.
Negotiates with interested parties on a professional and courteous basis commensurate with Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act of the jurisdiction involved.
Documents, in chronological order, all claim activities.
Practices expense control where possible.
Maintains current knowledge of laws and coverages concerning claims handling.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION:
To qualify as a candidate for this position, you should be a licensed adjuster, a multi-state license and experience is desirable.
You should have your degree or equivalent work experience (1 to 3 years adjusting or insurance experience is preferred).
SKILLS:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe).
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
