45 an hour Position Overview:
The Lab Assistant provides support to the Nursing Lab Manager in creating a quality learning experience for students and support to the faculty.
This position is part-time late afternoons, evenings, and nights, 4pm-10 pm, 25 hours per week Monday through Thursday during the academic year, summer 25 hours per week, daytime hours to be arranged.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Various duties may include skills lab and simulation set-up and take down, annual equipment inventory and reporting, taking inventory, stocking supplies, maintain upkeep, maintaining the cleanliness of the labs and classroom areas, data entry, and software updates.
Securing lab after hours.

This position is an intermediate-level position responsible for providing a variety of clerical/administrative support, or manual labor, tasks for an office or department.
This position may have a minor to moderate impact on the operations of multiple work areas.
Communication & Interaction:
Routinely answers questions and provides information and data requested by individuals within or outside of the work area.
Effective Knowledge:
Demonstrates ability to operate independently with intermittent supervision for day-to-day operations.
Problem Solving & Judgement:
The job consists of repetitive manual tasks that are covered by specific procedures or close supervision.
Budget Authority:
May compile data for budget preparation.
Policy & Procedure Authority:
Primarily responsible for applying organizational policies and procedures and/or determining appropriate processes to follow.

Qualifications Required:
Previous work experience in a similar work environment.
References that indicate a positive work ethic, ability to work well with others in a supervised position, ability to work independently and demonstrate trustworthiness.
Qualifications Preferred:
Associate's degree preferred or one year of work experience in a similar work environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.
Interacts in a positive manner with students, faculty, and staff.
Able to work independently.
Maintains safety in the environment.
Demonstrates basic computer shills for data entry.
Desire to learn new skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
