The Finance Team partners with the organization to facilitate the financial reporting needs of Life.
Church, including payroll, accounts payable, giving operations, accounting, forecasting, and data analytics.
We equip the organization with the tools needed to plan for, understand, and steward the resources God has provided for our ministry.
The Accounting Lead is primarily responsible for preparing and analyzing organizational financial documents to ensure accuracy of records.
This position will be responsible for financial entries, financial reconciliations, and execution of property and sales tax reporting.
This position will also lead in managing the organization's fixed asset accounting and reporting, along with capital project reporting.
This position will review peer financial documents, manage approvals across different systems, and support organizational procedures.
What You'll Do Manage organizational capital projects and fixed asset reporting.
Lead in reconciling and recording depreciating fixed assets.
Coordinate tasks for closing financial statements each month.
Prepare and analyze various reconciliations and schedules monthly.
Review peer reconciliations, financial statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Identify and explain data variances.
Support organization financial records and processes.
Lead in preparing the organizational annual audit and quarterly published financial statements.
Manage organizational tax compliance, including property, sales, tax filing, renewal, and submission.
Support the organization in reviewing mission partners for financial support.
Skills Needed to Succeed Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and problem-solve with innovation.
Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
Preferred Accounting or Finance bachelor's degree.
Preferred 3
years of related experience.
CPA certification or eligibility to take the CPA exam.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
